Old Parliament House Tour

This tour provides amazing access to some of the most significant spaces in Australian political history, visiting the Old Parliament House Senate and House of Representatives chambers, Cabinet Room and Prime Minister’s Office. There will also be a chamber experience for participants to sit in the actual seats where the politicians sat – front bench or back bench, Government of Opposition – as the guides complete the experience with a range of information, stories and anecdotes about the people, places and events in the very places where they occurred.

Return transport will be provided.

Aboriginal Interpretive Tour of Canberra

Date: Tuesday, 28 November 2017
Time: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Difficulty Level: Easy walking on track
Venue: Departing from Hotel Realm to Mount Majura
Cost: $80.00 per person
Capacity: Maximum 29 people

At 888 metres, Mount Majura is the highest peak in suburban Canberra. It provides habitat for a wide range of wildlife, including a number of threatened species, as well as various opportunities for recreation. Local Ngunawal custodian, Tyronne Bell will interpret the landscape, point out bush foods growing in the area, scar tree and show a variety of local artefacts/stone tools and explain their traditional uses.

Return transport will be provided.

Please note: All participants are to bring with them water to drink on the walk, sturdy walking shoes, appropriate clothing for walking in grassy areas at Mount Majura, warm jacket and snacks.
